What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is an extremely efficient and effective way to get into world-class shape.  Our workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements, executed at high intensity in a group setting.  We combine elements of bootcamp workouts, gymnastics, barbell training, Olympic weightlifting, rowing, running, and much more!  Workouts are always different and unique, ensuring that you always make progress.

Do I need experience of some minimum level of fitness?

No!  Our workouts and exercises scale to any level.  CrossFit is for anyone, regardless of his or her age or fitness level.  Anyone willing to work will excel at CrossFit.

I’m in great shape and I want to skip the Intro Classes, can I do that?

No.  You are required to take 101 before being allowed to take WOD (Workout Of the Day) classes.  Unless you’ve trained extensively at another CrossFit affiliate and gone through another foundations program, chances are you need our Intro Classes.  Contact us if this is your situation.

Can I come to North Country CrossFit and workout on my own?

No.  We offer the best fitness available with qualified trainers.  We only offer classes.  Contact us if you are interested in one-on-one sessions or individual specialized programming.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself, basic workout clothing, sneakers, and we’ll provide the rest!

Do you sell T-shirts?

Yes!  Come on in and buy yourself something awesome.

Do you have showers?

Not quite yet, we’re working on it!

What is a typical class like?

We give you a full body workout in under an hour.  Classes are instructor-led and peer-driven, providing a great mixture of individual coaching and group motivation.  Each class begins with a full body warm-up.  Then we work on a physical skill or barbell lift designated for that day.  Following that is a high-intensity workout done for time or reps. We’ll finish up with stretching/mobility work.
